Let’s be honest — the baby days are a blur. Sleepless nights, swaddled snuggles, first smiles… it all happens so fast. And when you're in the thick of it, it’s hard to imagine just how much your little one will change in just a few short weeks.
So which session is right for your family? Fresh 48? Newborn? Milestone?
As a mama-centered photographer, I want you to know this:
You don’t have to pick just one. Each session captures a unique part of your story — and they’re all worth remembering.
But lets break each down so you know how each can benefit you.

What is a fresh 48 session?

Fresh 48 sessions are sacred. They’re about the firsts — the flaky skin, hospital bracelets, first yawns, and the look on a sibling’s face as they meet their baby for the first time. There’s awe in the room. There’s exhaustion, yes, but there’s also wonder. And I quietly document it all.
I come to you (yes, even at the hospital), to quietly document this sacred time. After working within the hospital system, I’m deeply familiar with how to move gently in that space. My approach is calm, unobtrusive, and completely baby-led, so you can stay present in those beautiful first moments.
When: Within the first 48 hours after birth
Where: Hospital, birth center, or home (wherever you deliver)
Vibe: Raw, tender
what is a newborn session?

In-home newborn sessions are my favorite, there’s something so special about documenting this sweet season in the space where it’s all happening. We slow everything down, follow baby’s cues, and capture your family in a way that feels genuine and calm.
No need to deep clean or have a Pinterest-perfect nursery. We’ll use the rooms with the best natural light and focus on connection over perfection.
That said, if your home feels too dark or overwhelming right now, we can always rent a beautiful lifestyle studio instead. It’s a great option if you’d rather not tidy up or just want a neutral, light-filled space to snuggle up with your little one.
You’ll get a mix of gently posed portraits and candid moments — soft swaddles, couch cuddles, tiny fingers, and all the in-between beauty you don’t want to forget.
When: 1–3 weeks old
Where: In your home (or a cozy lifestyle studio, if preferred)
Vibe: Slow, natural, cozy
A quick note for any parents in the research phase, when choosing a newborn photographer, always ask about their experience with infants and whether they’ve had any safety training. Your baby’s comfort and security should always come first.
I’ve completed a newborn safety course and always work in baby-led, supportive ways, no forced poses (if baby isn't feeling it, we stop) or rushed timelines. Your little one’s well-being is my top priority, always.
Outdoor Newborn
If you’re a family who loves the outdoors or just wants a natural, dreamy backdrop — we can absolutely take your newborn session outside.
Outdoor newborn sessions are gentle and simplified. We choose a quiet, shaded location (usually close to home), go at baby’s pace, and keep things cozy with blankets and swaddles. These sessions are best during warmer months and earlier in the day when the light is soft and baby is more settled.
You’ll still get those tender, connected moments — just with a little extra breeze and birdsong in the background.
What is a Milestone session?

Milestone sessions are where the giggles take center stage. Your baby is growing, sitting up, crawling, and showing off their big personality. These sessions are full of eye contact, belly laughs, and little quirks that won’t last forever.
Whether we’re outside in a field, on your living room floor, or doing a cake smash in a simple setup, this session celebrates how far you’ve come, and the little person your baby is becoming.
When: Typically at 6 months and/or 1 year
Where: Outdoors, in-home, or studio-style
Vibe: Playful, personality-filled, fun
Why I believe in all three!
If you’re choosing just one, I’ll help you find the session that fits your season. But honestly? Each session captures something completely different — and equally valuable.
I’ve walked with some families through every step: maternity, Fresh 48, newborn, six months, and first birthday. One of my favorite families invited me into their story just hours after birth. I documented their baby’s wrinkly toes in the hospital, their sleepy snuggles at home, her proud sitting moment at six months, and his frosting-covered grin at one.
Every image shows the transformation.
Every moment mattered.

Not sure where to start?

Each stage is fleeting. Let’s make sure you have something beautiful to hold onto when the baby curls fade and the toddler years take over.
